Email sequences (automated multi-step email outreach) are a series of emails sent automatically over time to a contact or group of contacts. Unlike a one-time campaign, sequences drip emails on a schedule — perfect for onboarding new leads, following up after demos, or nurturing cold prospects.

How Sequences Work

You create a sequence with multiple steps, each containing an email and a delay (e.g., "Day 1: Welcome email", "Day 3: Case study", "Day 7: Demo invite").
When a contact is enrolled in the sequence, they start receiving emails automatically according to the schedule.
If a contact replies to any email in the sequence, they are automatically removed to prevent awkward follow-ups after a conversation has started.
You can monitor each contact's progress through the sequence — see who opened, clicked, replied, or dropped off.

When to Use Sequences

Lead nurture: Warm up new leads with a series of valuable emails over 2-4 weeks.
